Lonely Moments – back in Australia

From One to Two –

And from „Einsamkeit“ ( being alone) to „Zweisamkeit“ (being together as a couple).

I experienced this extremely in the first days of the pandemic. I was in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and solved my personal crisis situation, namely the return home to my family in Germany (see https://lnkd.in/gQJEXScD).

When I got home, I had only one wish: to crawl. Find a place somewhere where we could lock ourself in. Alone as a couple. Even before the lock-downs.

And now I’m experiencing that again. In the “home office” in Sydney. I accompany my wife. A family topic that I like to be part of.

External events have initiated both. And my degrees of freedom made it possible for me to get involved. Self-determined.  „Zweisamkeit“, lonely moments included.

Yes, we are back in Australia. And for two months out of all topics in Germany. There has been quite a lot going on lately. Interesting and exciting business topics, but also demanding.

✳ On-site audits at ITO Global Logistics and Magnotherm with the young adults in the Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ for short) with the LEADERSHIP RHEIN-MAIN Netzwerk auf Augenhöhe gUG.

✳ On-site lectures at the Albstadt Sigmaringen University and the Provadis School of International Management and Technology AG on the topics of business ethics, sustainability and intercultural leadership.

✳ Networking events at the German Australian Business Council e.V. in preparation for my planned membership.

✳ Coordination meetings and discussions in preparation for an assignment as an Associate Partner at Caravel Solutions Europe.

Now I will find time to think, reflect and write. My journal is with me. And we also have a nice place to “crawl” here in Sydney.

I have found that lonely moments are a gift to me. From time to time. And then always a few days in a row. I feel my creativity and the flow that comes with it.

➡️ But I’m not completely alone in this. “Zweisamkeit“ means also “togetherness”. Loneliness is an ambivalent term, doesn’t it?
