Lectures start this week, and I’m in.
Business ethics and sustainability is my topic – as a lecturer at the Albstadt Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences at the Faculty of Business Science and Management for the Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration in the sixth semester.
Now it’s my pleasure …
✳ … to convey the basic ideas behind the concept of business ethics and to deal with corresponding case studies from practice,
✳ … to further develop the understanding of sustainability and to discuss how consequent sustainability management is implemented in companies,
✳ … and – most importantly – to prepare the university students for moral and ethical action as future leaders.
And how did I get there?
This has a lot to do with LinkedIn, with a post in my #FussballMeetsBusiness series and my workshop as part of the Beuron Days for questions of business ethics. It’s been 14 years, but I recently wrote a post about it. The dots connected and serendipity is the keyword.
Sigmaringen in the Zollernalbkreis and Beuron are only 25 kilometres apart. And especially nice: Sigmaringen is very close to my parents’ home in the Neckar valley between the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb. That’s why I can combine my lectures with visits “at home” during the face-to-face courses. This closes the circle.
Now it’s time for the lecture. With joy, with excitement and with the desire for a real intergenerational dialogue at eye level.
➡ And you? What topic are you dealing with in dialogue with talents from different generations?
My name is Bernd Scharbert and my role as a mentor for leaders and executives is to transfer experiential knowledge after 30+ years leadership experience in the corporate business world. If you are interested, feel free to follow #prepare4landing or contact me directly.
