Jugglers have always fascinated me.
I can manage three balls. The juggler in my allegory is already juggling with five balls, all of which circle in the air as if magically moved. On closer inspection, however, I notice that the balls are made of different materials. Four are made of fully elastic rubber. And one ball is made of, really, yes, of fragile glass!
What is it all about?
With most balls, it doesn’t matter if you drop them, says the juggler. They are made of rubber and easily return to the juggling circuit.
And the crystal ball?
The juggler shows me with a raised index finger, I really shouldn’t drop it.
There are five overarching goal fields in my Balanced Scorecard for Life (see pic above or here: In Balance with Life – Prepare4Landing). And one of them is made of glass. That of health.
My way of dealing with this fact has developed from my learnings of the last decades.
✳️ Willingness to perform also means consciously taking breaks and using relaxation techniques as a forward-looking precaution.
My profession is my destiny. I enjoy working and am passionate. Nevertheless, time-outs are important, and in good time before you reach your physical limits.
✳️ Sport as a fitness strategy, for enjoyment and as a link to nature
Jogging in the forest, by the river or on the beach in the morning. Skiing and golf, sporty and with a recreational and wellness character as a family holiday.
✳️ What does the kitchen say?
Everything in moderation and avoid waste. Here are a few basic rules: seasonal food and less meat. And the classic rule: in the morning eat like an emperor, at noon like a nobleman, and in the evening like a beggar (or not at all).

✳️ A couch for mental strength
Even today, I still like to take advantage of a coaching session. After a few hours, I come out of the appointment with pleasantly fresh insights and feel a bit stronger again for the upcoming topics.

✳️ Growing older calmly, from 40 to 50 to 60 and on and on
The joy of doing is the fun factor that keeps you fit and being able to let go at the right time. Preferably when it is at its most beautiful.
Discipline in routine, long-term adherence to what has proven itself, a balanced diet and couch surfing for mental strength and self-confidence form my foundations for growing older calmly. The diverse links with other target fields are the prerequisite for efficiency and for the joy of doing.
